The Institute for Professional Development (IPD) is a dedicated center housed within the UNM College of Education & Human Sciences. IPD has a rich history of working with school districts, state policymakers, as well as current and aspiring educators and professionals.

Our center has adapted throughout the years to meet the ever-growing and changing needs of New Mexico classrooms and children. To that end, we are always looking to partner with local, state-wide, and national entities who share an interest in providing high-quality and relevant career advancement.
