The Professional Development Credit Council (PDCC) was approved by the
College of Education in 1995 to encourage the development of master teachers
as teacher educators. The PDCC affirms the expertise of education practitioners
by attaching graduate credit to high quality Professional Development
Credit Courses.
As a collaborative administrative group, the PDCC includes
College of Education faculty and representatives of Extended University, the
Albuquerque Teachers Federation, the New Mexico National Education Association
and New Mexico public schools. Professional Development Credit Courses have
been offered by teachers in area schools, district-level administrators and
instructional leaders, TVI professional development staff, Leadership
New Mexico staff, and KNME Teacherline personnel.
